Crime is not tolerated in the Abbatchtkan empire, and penalty for being caught as a thief can be extreme. That said, the theives guild known as the [[Calmorian Way]] exists and does business throughout the continent (and if rumours are to be believed, beyond) and does so with the circumspect knowledge of various members of the Abbatchtkan senate. At times, the grey-market ability of various adventurers has been of great use to the empire when dealing with various threats to the safety of its citizens.
