Description

Raziel

6'1" lightly tanned humanoid, pitch black faux hawk cut with razor sharp eyes. He is well built, strong and very charismatic. Odd looking draconic wording is tattooed across his upper arms and across his chest. Clad in his black plate, he is a fearsome visage of strength and dread. A Paladin he may be but something more lurks behind those eyes...

History

When asked about his past, Raziel always seems to divert to another subject however it is known that he speaks fondly of the islands of Kórge Rohi and the surrounding waters. Upon seeing a map that one of his companions showed him, he began to realise that he may have been trapped for some time...

Severus

Severus, Raziels familiar

Occasionally people have noticed a mire black snake with electric blue hue appear near or on Raziel, people who travel with him have heard Raziel refer to the snake as Severus. He treats the snake like a young lad would treat a dog, there is an understanding between them that only time could have built.

Session 14

One moment I was seeking compatriots to help me take up arms against the vile temptress and her lieutenants of my homeland.... Gods? Pah, I have bared witness to a patron who offered me the power and guidance I sort. Oh there I go again, thoughts of that place do send my mind down a dark path. Well, there I was looking for compatriots to help me and then a sudden sharp pain from my chest... there was a blinding darkness followed by a sharp jolt into what appeared to be some temple I had not seen the like of. Around me were a number of adventurous looking folk who seemed to be shocked at my sudden appearance... they were not the only ones!

We hightailed it out of the temple, towards a riverway and a boat captain. We ambled along and came to rest for the night at a Tavern on the waters edge, a sign which read Golden Boys?

Session 15

We discussed the events of the day at the Golden Boys where we came to rest, I was going to use my keen skills to get food and drink for my new friends but decided to rely on the old classics of suggestion... much to my surprise the cursed barkeep had magical wards in place, which in hindsight is probably a very solid business decision. I managed to find my armour, sword and also Severus in a large satchel that I had with me when I was released from my prison. I am told I was within a blue crystal, whether this blue light had and link to my patron was a mystery as I did not see it myself.

As the night wore on, a traveller ask us about a location I had not heard of but the new friends I found myself with clearly had knowledge of... Blade Market and Vol.

The plan was laid out to me that we were to head to a famous magical library in a large inland lake which was on the shores of a local town by the name of Dwardle. I must admit, another place I had no knowledge of! I have however learnt that one of the party, a being by the name Benjimaru, had some rather pleasant herbs of which I distinctly remember the flavour.

We set off following the river as the boat we took here appeared to have left earlier than we awoke, not much of note happened during the trip but we did come across a rather flamboyant travelling salesman... at least that is what he pitched himself as. Mephistopheles Moonbeam was his names name and all though I had seen much better magic in my time, I must admit he did perform with the confidence of repetition. I do feel that we are not the first people he has propositioned to go to the library for him and I doubt we will be the last.

Session 16

We arrived in Dwardle, many oatcakes were ordered for Bugo due to a transaction confusion. We proceeded to the Harbourford House, the group was paid for their escorting a boat and hunting some bandits. I stayed to talk to the quartermaster Parthairn Tulli, he spoke of issues with irregular forces operating from The Citadel (A castle?), operating from the south lands and pushing forth into these lands... interfering with orders or taking actions against the local peoples of the area. Parthairn advised that Lord Asper, would be interested in any information regarding people from the Citadel. I left his office and spoke the old words of the mindwhispers - knowledge is power.

Luna left off to deal with guild? business, Berwick/Benji/Zeed all proceeded to the pharmacy while I headed off to the blacksmith.

I went to the blacksmith, Targe Harriden. He was a very astute dwarf, identified the armour well and questioned me on the armour and it's meaning to me. I gave him my armour to repair with 200 gold and 4 questions. I took some ornamental leather armour, looks to be no more than decorative... but needs must and it would just feel wrong not at least having something between me and a possible threat. The dwarf mentioned my armour could be Taipan made, this could warrant further investigation as others may be in this world as that is a phrase I know well with the skilled armour and weaponsmiths of my past.

There was a private discussion when we regathered outside a tavern, the feline was devouring a rather good looking meal and the bard was eyeing up the more refined locals - it appears my new acquaintances have accepted me into their group, it's nice to have travelling companions again... I may even ask them to help me with my mission. A lot of talk about The Tinkerous Guild, The Amahi. I gather this is some mechanical, machine, magical organisation with which the town is deeply distrustful. I suspect Luna is affiliated with this foreign element. We posted up in a local tavern – The Waterside Inn. I gave Benjimaru some of Severus' tame venom and he appeared to incorporate it into the growth of fungi from his hat... if this ferments well then I sense this will give us some good herbs down the line.

Well that's enough for the day, off to sleep - tomorrow I can discuss more with my newly found acquaintances and head over to Targes' shop mid-afternoon to see how good this dwarfs work is.
