History
To the south of the Industrial town of Yellowshade is a small farming and hunting village. The village has been settled a number of times in the last few hundred years, before famine or change in circumstances cause it to become abandoned. The latest settlement attempt was 120 years ago when Elliot Skeld and his family started a small farm in the fertile meadows on the edge of the forest. They were joined a few years later by more families and hunters, with a small hunting lodge being established in the following 10 years to prepare meat for the villagers and a minor export trade of skins and pelts with the visiting traders.
Today the village barely supports a market, with most trade happening with passing merchants and bartering amongst homesteads and farmers. The only tavern, simply known as 'The Well', is more a small taproom built in an outbuilding of the Skeld farm. The town is occasionally visited by lone travellers or hermits passing through.

The Well
A small taproom in the outbuildings of the Skeld farm, it is still run by the Skeld family, with the family patriarch Joshua Skeld serving and holding court while his sons, Joseph and Harry tend to the crops and the cows. The only patrons are generally other farmers and the few hunters who enjoy telling old Joshua stories of the creatures lurking in the forest.
