Abbatchtka (Continent)

Abbatchtka is the name of the largest landmass in the northern hemisphere of the world of Kuselada. It is comprised of mainly human settlements and ruins of previous elven settlements. A large dwarvish community exists under the mountain ranges throughout the continent.

Laws of the land

The Pax Abbatchkani is enforced throughout much of the continent, with the laws enscribed by the capital city through a senate system run by an emperor which seems to run through a family line. A system of Meretons, or local sheriffs, enforce the local laws and apply common sense rationale to the edicts that are sent from the capital.

Crime is not tolerated in the Abbatchtkan empire, and penalty for being caught as a thief can be extreme. That said, the theives guild known as the Calmorian Way exists and does business throughout the continent (and if rumours are to be believed, beyond) and does so with the circumspect knowledge of various members of the Abbatchtkan senate. At times, the grey-market ability of various adventurers has been of great use to the empire when dealing with various threats to the safety of its citizens.
