Synopsis

As the night closes in after the excitement of the chase, the other half of the party enter The Bellows - although they are missing Hrolf. After a short catchup, the group go to bed and in the morning, as Bugo is awake, he goes downstairs to find Hrolf eating breakdast. He has a black eye and being doted on by Lexa.

As the rest of the group come down for breakfast, Jake enters the bar is talking about some supply problems with getting fish and sarcasm supplies from Martha Pureglee, his supplier. He suggests that if the group is looking for work they might want to enquire at her warehouse.

The bridge is made out of bronze and steel with a wooden walkway. Small brass cogs are attached to the bridge, each engraved with initials, Luna is particularly proud of a small cog with 'LR' engraved on it.

Once the bridge has been lowered, the group continue through the shambles and approach a large square with a fountain. On one side of this square is a large tavern, The Drunken Alchemist. The barkeeper is putting down fresh sawdust and repairing some of the damage from the fighting the night before. Around the square are some more general shops, a provisioners and a small shop with trinkets in the window and a sign proclaiming it to be a pawnbroker of sorts.

Luna and Bugo enter the shop to enquire about some precious gems they need and are greeted by a gentlement with grey hair, electric blue waistcoast, golden glasses with a slight tint to them resting atop a hooked nose. The bushy eyebrows betray the hair is maybe dyed. He introduces himself in the third person as Godfrey Mourn, the owner of the shop. He summons his young assistant Russell and starts looking for the items that Bugo and Luna are interested in.

Reaching into various pidgeon holes, each with a cushion, a label and some kind of index to the side, he produces a few things to offer - a Harridon Tea Tray made of Jade with a gold inlay, a gold necklace with a pearl set in it - which interests Bugo. Luna is tempted by a small red garnet, sold by some princess on a path to save the world. Bugo pays 220 gold for the pair and after a quick conversation with Russel - who is studying for a history test and reading 'Abatchkan Children of Yore and their Extensive Collection of Bad Habits', they leave the store.

Borrowing the pearl from Bugo, Luna identifies the bag obtained by Forshante as being a non-artifact Bag of Holding.

Afterwords, Benji enters the store and detecting substantial amounts of magic tries to pressure Godfrey into revealing some of the secrets that this shop contains. It does not go down well and he is asked to leave.

The next stop on the shopping trip is to pick up some stationary. Bugo goes into a nearby branch of WH Smythe's and after some negotiation buys 5 sheets of arcane paper and supplies, also joining their loyalty scheme.

She has heard of Daggerhaunt and mentions Serafine. After much discussion the party take the quest from Martha, with a 200gp upfront payment, another 800gp on completion and 50gp for each bandit returned alive, 25gp for dead bandits.
