Synopsis

The Multiple Sarcasms have found themselves allowed access to The Library of Tundmatusse in the middle of Lake Dwardle. After discussion with The Guardian, the group passed through the alabaster marble walls and into the grounds of the library. The group were introduced to the Tender of the Wall-gardens, and to an individual known to the magisters of the library as "The Drowned". The drowned man looked remarkably familiar to Berwick Andersmith who had gone missing from Dwardle when the group had been ambushed. Getting access to the Library, normally a decision made by the Associates of the Library, or the Grandmistress herself, the group quickly turned their attentions to gathering information for both Bugo and the history of the Library and the history of The Amahi, The Obsca and The Concurrence.

The group hear the history of the formation of the Library, with the Endeavour of Elborin and the Obscahi - the prior name of the sect that turned into the Amahi and Obsca - and the Treaty of Concurrence, the walk of the Mages of Contrition, and the accidental creation of the Lake itself. Many hundreds of years ago, the entire area of the lands east of Dwardle town was grassland called "the plains of Dwardle", and now is a large lake.

They investigated one of Hrolf Amarok's stories: the Baron Rhudde, a rumour of vampirism and feudal society near a village known as Blue Moon.

Finishing their day of research, the group scaaled the tower to view the Evertyr itself, in the viewing room called the Dakrna. Looking out to the horizon, Benji and company saw a flock of feathered beasts attacking livestock on the Library's farmland...
